Lily Ostler, LMSW

SHE/HER

I received my Masters of Social Work from New York University Silver School of Social Work and am a therapist licensed in the State of New York. My therapeutic style is casual and honest, with the hope of engaging everyone who I work with in open, supportive, and challenging conversations. I utilize a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and eclectic approach to collaboratively build a healing space for all of my clients. I utilize a variety of skills and approaches informed by attachment-based therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and emotionally focused therapy.

I am a bisexual identified, sex work/worker positive, LGBTQIA+, kinky, and poly-affirming therapist. In my work with individuals, couples, and polycules, I tailor my approach to each unique individual and system to support you in understanding how past experiences, shame, and mental health are impacting your interpersonal relationships and quality of life.

I provide therapy to adolescent and adult individuals, couples, and polycules experiencing a wide range of interpersonal, sexual, and mental health challenges.

Whether you’re facing struggles in these areas of your life or just want to better understand who you are and how you’re feeling, I am here to work collaboratively with you to build the life that you want. My goal is to support you in exploring and understanding your sexuality, gender, and relationship styles; enhance your experience of and relationship to sex; and improve your relationship with yourself and others.

Together, we will use your unique perspective and experiences to support you in answering questions about yourself and your life, finding self-acceptance and self-worth, exploring relationship and dating problems, and developing long-term coping strategies through shared empathy, kindness, and some humor.

Therapy can be a supportive space to better understand yourself, explore questions, build self-esteem and self-worth, and learn to define your boundaries and values.

If you’re interested in working together, email me today, and we can find a time to meet and see if working together would be a good fit.
